(NASDAQ: SCOR), a leader in measuring the digital world, today released the results of a study of the online habits of Portuguese Internet users, based on data from the comScore World Metrix service. More than 3.8 million people age 15 and older accessed the Internet from a home or work location in Portugal in September, viewing an average 1,843 pages and spending an average 1.9 hours online per person during the month.

Guy Phillipson, CEO, Internet Advertising Bureau, UK will hold the keynote address. As of last week, the seats allotted to CAEM were all taken. Mediapost writes: Publicis CEO, Maurice Levy, said the digital revolution offers a silver lining for the Paris-based owner of Digitas and Razorfish. Digital marketing provides some pinpoint metrics, and if agencies can prove effectiveness, they can be rewarded.
"There is a huge change in digital -- the fact that we can measure almost everything," Levy said. "What will happen in the future -- which could be very good news for people like us -- is that we may come to a solution where we will be paid not on service, but on value and on deliverables. At most of the events I've been to lately, measurement continues to be a hot topic. The first question that comes up is, "What can I measure?"
Some entries here can be interpreted several ways. Depending on how you define them, some of these metrics may seem redundant, while others may seem so broad that they can be broken out further. Many of these can be combined with each other to create new metrics that can then be tracked over time. The release boasts a long list of new capabilities including up-to-the-minute analytics. This allows for real-time data assessment and comparison from the previous 24-hour period alongside current day and 365-day comparisons.
